27 X 2010 Brazil played with Cuba. Cuba are very good team , they have got physical conditions. Brazil loses this match 2:3(34:32,18:25,23:25,25:21,15:12).I'm not sad, because I like Cuba volleyball-players.

Today Brazil played with Spain and won 3:1 (30:28, 21:25, 25:20, 25:19). "Spain is a team who does not make many faults" said Giba.

Bernardo Rezende, Brazil coach:  "Good match, Spain put us in difficulty with their tactical intelligence. We made too many faults, particularly in the first set in attack. They put on us a lot of pressure and this is what we need to improve our consistancy".

25th September 2010 The FIVB Men's World Championship Italy 2010 started. 1. match Brazil played with Tunisia in Verona. Brazil won 3:0 (25:14, 25:21, 25:14) .

"It’s a good thing to win the first match, expecially changing a lot of players during the game. It’s so important that everyone is ready for the next matches, because the World Championship is so long and the difficulties will arrive at the end." - Brazil captain Giba said after match. Giba is Men's Olympic Volleyball Tournament "Most Valuable Player" 2004, FIVB World Championship "Most Valuable Player" 2006, FIVB World Cup "Most Valuable Player" and 2007 Pan-American Games "Most Valuable Player".
